Prompt

Find a convenient way to record and transcript the audio they heard whenever the users want.

Problem

International students often cannot catch or understand words and phrases during real-time conversations spoken in English. They are willing to memorize and learn but there is currently no convenient way to take notes about what they have heard.

Solution

A recording and transcription app that allows international students to record and mark words and phrases during real-time English conversations. The audio can be transcribed into text that international students can read through, highlight, and search.

Record & Mark

Press the record button to start recording a conversation. When you hear something you want to make a note of, tap the icon to make a mark. AudioNote will save the previous and next 60s of the recording. The inner blue ring represents the number of marks that have been made.

Save & Transcribe

Users can transcribe the audio they saved by spinning the icon.

Highlight & Search

Users can highlight multiple phrases, words, or idioms and quickly search for their meaning.

Search Result

After finding the meanings and definitions, users can save the words and phrases into their library so that they can go back and review at anytime.

Record and Mark

Users have the option of using a smartwatch to create marks in the recording and view them in the corresponding AudioNote.

Existing Recording Devices

Most people use mobile apps or bulky digital voice recorders. Users are often unable to record on time because these solutions do not provide quick access to start recording.

Inconvenience

Once users have made a recording, it's difficult to go back and find key words or phrases within the audio recording.
